The 17th season of Tbilisi Fashion Week (TFW) will be held from April 19-22 and feature a mix of Georgian and foreigner designers.
The latest TFW will present designers’ Autumn/Winter 2018 collections. The four-day program includes about 20 shows.
The main venue for this years’ TFW is Tbilisi Balneological Resort, where a long catwalk, backstage, showroom and press room have been arranged.
TFW will be opened with a project „Medea Japaridze – Style Icon”, which will be held at the garden of Georgian National Youth Palace, where the scenes from the first Georgian musical „Keto and Kote” will be performed.
Models will wear costumes of the character Keto and others as well from the movie ‚Keto and Kote’, which was filmed in 1948. The costume represents the direction of Georgian fashion of the 20th century. It shows how by that time European influence had brought new tendencies and element from the west.
Tbilisi Fashion Week will be held with the support of „Produce in Georgia” and „Check in Georgia”state programs.
